Here's a recipe for a spiked iced coffee made with Irish crème liqueur and Frangelico, an Italian liqueur made with hazelnuts, vanilla, and cocoa.
Produced in the Piedmont region of Italy, Frangelico is a golden liqueur made with hazelnuts and other natural flavors like vanilla and cocoa.
It's origins date back to 18th century northern Italy and a recluse Christian monk named Fra' Angelico who was reputed to have a talent for creating fine liqueurs.
There are many ways to enjoy Frangelico, but this easy recipe for Frangelico Iced Coffee is our favorite.
- 1 ounce Frangelico
- 1 ounce Irish crème liqueur
- 2 ounces black coffee (preferably espresso)
- 2 ounces milk or cream
- Shake all ingredients with ice, then strain into an ice-filled glass. Garnish with whipped cream if desired.
