Lynne Webb: Founder & Primary Recipe Developer

With more than five decades of experience in the kitchen and over 15 years as a professional recipe developer, Lynne Webb is the culinary voice behind MyGourmetConnection. Since launching the site in 2008 with her daughter Erika, she has developed hundreds of carefully tested recipes designed to help home cooks build flavor with smart technique and thoughtful ingredient choices.
Lynne believes that “simple” doesn’t have to mean “ordinary.” Her approach to cooking emphasizes balance, proper seasoning, and reliable methods rather than processed shortcuts or passing food trends. The goal is straightforward: recipes that reward a little extra care with deeper flavor and consistent results. To date, she has developed and published more than 600 original recipes for MyGourmetConnection, each tested multiple times for reliable results.
“My passion for food started in my mother’s kitchen, watching her explore global cuisines long before they were mainstream. Today I bring that same curiosity into every recipe I create. My goal isn’t just to give readers a recipe – it’s to share the small details I’ve learned over the years so they can cook with more creativity and confidence.“
Lynne’s culinary perspective reflects both her Hungarian heritage and more than two decades living in New England, where she developed a lasting appreciation for fresh seafood and Italian-American cooking traditions. Her recipes draw from a wide range of global and American influences and are grounded in a simple philosophy: the best way to become a better cook is to spend time in the kitchen learning by doing.
Beyond the Kitchen
When she isn’t refining recipes for MyGourmetConnection, Lynne enjoys a good mystery novel, a glass of wine, and discovering new favorite dishes at local Vietnamese and Thai restaurants. She lives in Central Florida with her husband, Rick, and close to her daughter and son-in-law, Erika and Tom.
