Tom Pitera: Commercial Photographer
Tom Pitera is a commercial photographer and the photographer behind the food imagery on MyGourmetConnection. Working closely with Lynne Webb and Erika Pitera, he photographs the recipes featured on the site, capturing dishes in a way that reflects how they look when prepared in a real home kitchen. He joined the MyGourmetConnection team as the site began updating and expanding its recipe photography.
With many years of professional experience in commercial photography, Tom specializes in studio lighting and detailed product photography. His work spans food, product, and pet photography, and his technical expertise helps ensure that every dish on MyGourmetConnection is presented clearly and authentically.
In addition to his work behind the camera, Tom contributes to the visual direction of the site and manages portions of MyGourmetConnection’s social media and marketing efforts.
Beyond the Studio
Outside his work on MyGourmetConnection, Tom operates a freelance photography business that began as a food and product studio and expanded to include pet photography. He and his wife Erika collaborate on this work through their lifestyle photography brand Hot Dog! Pet Photography.
Tom holds a marketing degree from the University of Central Florida. When he’s not behind the camera, he enjoys gaming, following professional wrestling, and exploring an eclectic range of music.
