Ideas for a Make-Ahead Mother’s Day Brunch

Whether you are hosting your first or fiftieth Mother’s Day brunch, using our make-ahead tips and recipes will help put the relaxation back into your celebration.

Here are some time-saving, make-ahead recipes that take the stress out of your holiday cooking.


Strata is a bread, egg, and cheese casserole that has a savory bread pudding consistency once baked. To make ahead, assemble the strata the night before, cover it, and place it in the fridge. Then, bake it the next morning.


Quiche is a decadent egg and cheese, (and whatever other meats and vegetables you desire) filling baked inside of a buttery flaky pie crust. If you are in a pinch, you can use a store-bought crust to save some time.

Quiche can also be prepared a day or two before your brunch. Simply, make the quiche and store it covered in your refrigerator. When you are ready to serve the quiche, reheat it at 325°F for about 15 to 20 minutes until warmed through.
