Frozen Piña Colada
Made with white rum, fresh pineapple and cream of coconut, the Frozen Piña Colada is the official beverage of Puerto Rico.
The name piña colada translates directly to “strained pineapple.” It’s origins date back to the 1800s in Puerto Rico. The piña colada officially became the official beverage of Puerto Rico in 1978.

- 1/2 cup cracked ice
- 2 ounces white rum
- 1 ounce (2 tablespoons) cream of coconut
- 1/3 cup fresh pineapple, chopped
- 1 tablespoon heavy cream
- Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. Pour into a chilled glass and garnish with a pineapple wedge or orange slice.
