Cranberry Celebration
A nice choice for holiday entertaining, this fresh-flavored cranberry cocktail is made with vodka, a cranberry-orange reduction, lemon juice and club soda.
Ingredients
- 1-1/2 ounces Ketel One Citroen vodka
- 1 tablespoon of cranberry reduction (see below)
- 1/2 ounce fresh lemon juice
- 1/2 ounce simple syrup
- Club soda
Instructions
- Combine first four ingredients in a mixing glass. Vigorously shake with ice and pour contents into a rocks glass (fine strain over new ice if you prefer no bits of cranberry). Top with a splash of club soda. Garnish with a cranberry and mint sprig.
Notes
How to make cranberry reduction:
To make a cranberry reduction, take a 12-ounce bag of cranberries, rinse and add 4 ounces of orange juice and 4 ounces of simple syrup. Bring it to a boil, and let simmer for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally. Strain out the solids, then chill in the freezer for 30 minutes to allow the reduction to thicken.
Makes 1-1/2 to 1-3/4 cups
