Campari: Italy's Unique Spirit

Campari and Orange Juice

Campari was originally developed by Gaspare Campari in 1860 to serve in his Café Campari in Milan.

Its distinctive taste and vivid color make it a favorite for creating both classic and contemporary cocktails.

A proprietary infusion of aromatics, herbs and fruits in a blend of alcohol and water, Campari's flavor is bitter with overtones of orange.

Only a few key people are privy to Campari's secret recipe and rumor has it that Campari is made from as many as 60 to 80 ingredients, so it's no surprise that the unique flavor has never been successfully duplicated.

The Campari Brand ~

From its inception, Campari has chosen to represent its brand with style, sophistication and a cutting-edge sense of fashion. They've been commissioning fine artists to create their advertising and labeling since 1890.

To celebrate their 150th anniversary in 2010, Campari also commissioned some top mixologists to create an artistic collection of cocktails reflecting the spirit's exceptional flavor and style.
