Samuel Adams Noble Pils
Tasting Notes ~
Samuel Adam's Noble Pils was the winner of the brewer's 2009 Beer Lover's Choice and is now their annual spring seasonal release.
Noble Pils is a Bohemian Pilsner brewed with all 5 noble hops grown in Bavaria and the Czech Republic: Hallertau Mittelfrueh, Tettnang Tettnanger, Spalt Spalter, Saaz and Hersbrucker.
Recommended Glassware: I recommend serving Noble Pils in a footed pilsner-style or cylindrical-shaped glass.
Appearance: Pours a light golden color with lots of bubbles.
Aroma: Noble Pils gives off a very nice, bright hop scent.
Flavor: Noble Pils has a distinct yet subtle hop flavor upon the first few sips with some hints of citrus. As you continue to drink, the hop flavor becomes more apparent but remains very well balanced.
Summary: Even though it's a lighter beer, there's definitely a lot of flavor going on here, and the finish is very crisp and refreshing.
