We love spinach - creamed, in salads, steamed - whatever. We wanted to make a variation on plain sautéed spinach to go with some of our Asian-inspired entrees and came up with this simple side-dish recipe.
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 20 ounces fresh spinach
- 3 tablespoons orange juice
- 3 to 4 green onions, thinly sliced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons toasted sesame seeds
Heat the sesame oil over medium heat in a large wok or nonstick pan.
Add the spinach, a few handfuls at a time, and allow the spinach to wilt slightly.
Add the orange juice and salt and pepper and toss the spinach to coat. Allow most of the liquid to cook off, then transfer the spinach to a serving dish.
Garnish with thinly sliced green onions and sesame seeds.
