When you join Citizen Bean, you're signing up for an adventure in coffee and gourmet food.
Citizen Bean ships "coffee with a conscience" - fresh roasted coffees from small roasters across the country.
These roasters provide Citizen Bean with the best complex and unique coffees, all of which are fairly traded and grown in a sustainable fashion (e.g. organic, bird friendly or shade grown).
Each month, you'll receive a different selection (one full pound of coffee) as well as delightful gourmet food samples that pair beautifully with your cup of joe.
A portion of each month's sales are donated to a charity selected by the roaster.
Citizen Bean offers four-month, six-month and year-long memberships.
When my coffee sample arrived, you could tell by its aroma and appearance just how fresh it was. Fresh roasted coffee has a smooth, clean flavor without any of the bitterness that creeps into coffee as it ages.
