The Napa Valley Bistro Marinara Collection is made from all natural, top-quality ingredients. Imported Italian plum tomatoes paired with 100% Napa Valley appellation wine varietals and just the right amount of herbs and spices produce sauces that are flavor-rich and fresh tasting.

I had the opportunity to try the Homemade Style Marinara, which is made with Napa Valley Cabernet. The imported Italian plum tomatoes paired with the cabernet give the sauce an intense tomato flavor without the extra acidity you so often find in other products. I used the sauce to make homemade meatball sandwiches with sauteed portobello mushrooms and melted provolone cheese.

The other variety I sampled was the Creamy Marinara. This sauce is made with Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon and farm fresh cream. Like the plain marinara, the rich tomato flavor is predominant, and the cream adds richness without being overpowering.

Keep a couple of Mezzetta's Napa Valley Bistro sauces in the cupboard for when you're pressed for time in the kitchen. They can really help you prepare a quick meal without sacrificing the quality and taste of homemade sauce.
