Wine Flights Make Air Travel More Enjoyable

Food News: Wine Flights

Airport security, layovers, long lines and terrible in-flight food and drinks usually add up to a less-than-stellar travel experience. If you choose the right airline for your next flight, however, you're in for a gourmet experience.

ExpressJet Airlines is now offering California wine flights, featuring selections from Chameleon Cellars. For $3 each, travelers can sample a Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon and a Lake County Sauvignon Blanc.

ExpressJet hand-selected Chameleon Cellars' wines to pair with cheese, gourmet sandwiches, wraps and fresh vegetables.

According to Chameleon Cellars' head wine maker, Jeff Popick, "Two of California's best grape-growing regions are Napa Valley and Lake County.

"The bright fruit, balanced acidity and birth place of grapes in ExpressJet's Chameleon Cellars blends matches well with their foods and provides customers with an unparalleled wine and food experience."

Perhaps this trend of wine flights will take off and airlines across the globe will adopt a gourmet attitude toward air travel.
