Simplify Your Holiday Meals
A few common-sense tips for de-stressing your holiday meals -

No one wants to spend the holidays stressed out, but even seasoned pros get a little frazzled when entertaining friends and family. Here are some simple ways to make your holiday meals and parties more enjoyable for everyone -- especially the host!

Prepare in Advance

• If you're roasting a turkey this season, be sure you have a big enough roasting pan.
• Enhance the turkey's tenderness, moisture and flavor by using a disposable brining bag.
• For any turkey 14 pounds or larger, use a stainless steel stuffing cage. This saves you the trouble of scooping the stuffing from the turkey cavity. Just insert the cage prior to cooking and remove to serve when it's done.

Oven Solutions

• Use non-stick removable oven liner to protect your oven from spills. After cooking, you can simply wipe the liner or toss it in the dishwasher for a fresh start. The liner fits ovens up to 30 inches and can be trimmed down to size.
• If brining isn't enough, add more flavor and tenderness to your turkey with a dual baster and flavor injector -- it comes with two interchangeable stainless steel heads for continual basting.
• You don't have to babysit your oven anymore. Simply use a remote digital cooking thermometer; it can read internal temperatures up to 100 feet away.

Serving & Entertaining

• Have you ever dropped a turkey? Hopefully not, but you can guarantee it will never happen with a roast-and-serve rack from Cuisipro (available at Bed, Bath & Beyond). Its convenient handles allow you to move the turkey from its roasting pan and transfer it to a serving platter. Next, just pull the pin to release the sides of the rack, and you're ready to serve the bird.
• Why battle the turkey? Carve with an electric knife -- it'll glide through the meat easily with no fuss.
• If you plan on serving your guests banquet-style or are catering to a large crowd, use two gravy boats and two serving platters for the most convenience.
